Library to library

Interlibrary Loans

If you are interested in a book that is not owned by a PCIN Library, you can place a request using an InterLibrary Loan. An InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is a service where patrons of one library can request items that are owned by another library.

This service is limited to print books that are older than six months. InterLibrary Loan items are not able to be renewed and the checkout period may vary depending on the policy of the lending library. Items are shipped between libraries using Canada Post therefore may take a bit longer to arrive.

If you can not find an item you are looking for in Bibliocommons consider an InterLibrary Loan! You can place you request with a librarian at the circulation desk or you can complete the webform below. Please only choose one option.

This form is for Perth East Library cardholders. Other PCIN Library patrons should contact their home branch to access Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services.

Required fields are marked with a (*)

Please use this form to request items that are not in the Perth East Public Library Online Catalogue. (https://pepl.bibliocommons.com/). We will only request items from other Ontario libraries if we do not own a copy.

ILL Guidelines:
  • We are only able to request PRINT books from other libraries. (No audio or digital materials)
  • Only 3 requests per patron will be processed at one time
  • The book must be older than 6 months to be requested
  • ILL books can NOT be renewed
  • ILL books must be picked up and returned to the Perth East Public Library

We will contact patrons directly if we are unable to fulfill the request within 7-10 business days. Otherwise please allow 2-8 weeks for delivery.

This is a request only. We will do our best to locate a large print copy but this is not always possible.
