Online Tools. There are many great online tools for finding books and authors here is a few of our favorites.
The world’s largest site for readers and book recommendations. You can search and browse books, explore user lists in “Listopia” under the Browse tab or check out the “Readers Also Enjoyed” recommendation list generated for every title.
This site uses a simple search feature where you can type a book title or author, then the site will make recommendations. There are also subject lists ranked by title popularity as well as subject tags on each listed book
Allows you to search by emotion, setting, character, plot, etc. and use the sliding scale to say how much of one way or another a book should be. There are also pre-created lists based on concepts and links to read-alikes in the book descriptions.
Movies have ratings... why not books? This site provides recommendations based on ratings equivalent to PG, PG-13 and R. You can sort by star rating, genre, age, profanity, violence and nudity.
Use this site to search a book or author's clean rating. Is good for people who don't like excessive vulgar language, violence or explicit content in their otherwise good books.
Apps There is an app for that!
Goodreads
